A two-time Magnet-designated health system for nursing excellence, St. Joseph's University Medical Center is designated a Level II Trauma Center (including a level III NICU) by the state of New Jersey and a verified Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons. The Critical Care Faculty member will serve as one of three clinical specialists. Additionally, the hospital-based clinical pharmacy team is comprised of a Clinical Pharmacy Manager and nine clinicians in the areas of Critical Care, Infectious Diseases, Emergency Medicine, Behavioral Health, and Cardiology as well as four PGY1 pharmacy residents. Pharmacy services are provided throughout the institution in both inpatient and outpatient settings via centralized and decentralized operations utilizing an integrated EMR and automation. The Critical Care faculty member will focus his/her practice as a member of the multidisciplinary team. The faculty member will have an active role on the Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee and be involved in the education of medical, nursing and pharmacy staff (including pharmacy residents), protocol/guideline/policy development, and participating in Code Blue response.

  • Completed at least two years of residency training or equivalent experience
  • Applicants must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of New Jersey
  • Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BCPS), or other relevant board certification, is expected within two years of hire.
