About The Position

The General Dentist will provide comprehensive dental care while also supervising residents and participating in hospital quality initiatives. This role includes periodic on-call responsibilities and requires the establishment of care priorities, utilizing a medical and surgical knowledge base to guide practice. The dentist will document, plan, and execute individualized care for patients of all age ranges coming from the Center for International Health at Upstate.

Requirements

• DDS or DMD with post graduate residency.
• Outpatient dental clinic experience preferred.
• Experience with EMR (Epic) preferred.
• Direct hands-on patient care experience.
• Ability to create a dental plan of care for patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental care to patients.
• Supervise residents and oversee the delivery of care by dental hygienists and assistants.
• Participate in hospital quality initiatives.
• Manage periodic on-call responsibilities.
• Document and plan individualized care for patients.
