About The Position

This position will be co-funded between the Department of Family Medicine and the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administrative Sciences. The faculty member will provide clinical service at Health West ISU as well as interprofessional pharmacotherapy teaching to medical and pharmacy residents, students, clinic staff, and clinic providers. In addition, the faculty member will contribute to the education of professional pharmacy, medical, physician assistant, and other Kasiska Division of Health Science students through didactic and clinical teaching. The faculty member will precept pharmacy residents and students on ambulatory care learning experiences. Additional duties include department and university service, quality improvement activities, scholarship, and others as assigned. This faculty member will also support the PGY1/PGY2 Pharmacotherapy Residency by serving as the coordinator for the program. This position is not eligible for new visa sponsorship at this time. Candidates who already hold valid U.S. work authorization may be considered.

Requirements

  • Graduated from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited PharmD program
  • Licensed in the state of Idaho or ability to obtain licensure
  • Completion of PGY-1 residency or 3 years of ambulatory care clinic experience

Nice To Haves

  • Board certification in Pharmacotherapy, Ambulatory Care or Geriatric Pharmacy
  • Clinical expertise in the area of ambulatory care
  • Previous experience as a pharmacy residency program director and/or coordinator
  • Evidence of interprofessional teaching
  • Experience precepting pharmacy and/or medical residents
