The Orthopedic Clinical Assistant is responsible for performing assigned duties within his/her capabilities and scope of practice. They will assist the clinic provider or nurse in specified aspects of patient treatment, including emergent care and primary care for all age levels. They will maintain effective interaction with the public and hospital personnel. What You'll Do: Take the vital signs on all patients including: BP, HR, R, O2 sat. Take the Height and Weight, and the level of pain on patients. Responsible for the patient flow in the clinic, rooming and preparing the patient to be seen by the provider. Assist the providers with minor surgery set up, and specimen preparation. Responsible to complete minor lab procedures, including, the collection of specimens both urine and blood, and also be responsible for the routing of lab results to the correct provider.
