About The Position

Looking for a reliable part-time assistant to join a close-knit orthopedic team. The team consists of an orthopedic hand surgeon, a nurse practitioner, and a full-time medical assistant. Schedule is: Mondays- Duluth Clinic approximately 8:30–3:30 and Thursdays approximately 8:30–4:30, split between Duluth (AM) and Braselton(PM). The role is primarily clinical support and may include some directed marketing and local outreach for the practice during those hours. Great fit for someone who is dependable, personable, and enjoys working as part of a cohesive team. Prior experience is not required. Happy to provide strong letters of recommendation in the future. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy, medical terminology, and orthopaedic procedures
• Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

• Previous clinical experience in orthopaedics or related field highly desirable
• CPR/BLS certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and ensure cleanliness and readiness for patient visits
• Greet and prepare patients for examination, including taking vital signs and medical history
• Assist physicians with orthopaedic procedures such as casting, splinting, and wound care
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Manage and maintain inventory of clinical supplies and orthopaedic equipment
• Schedule appointments, coordinate imaging studies, and process referrals
• Educate patients on post-visit care, use of orthopaedic devices, and rehabilitation instructions
• Communicate with patients, families, and other healthcare providers to support care coordination
• Comply with infection control and safety protocols at all times
