The temporary, hourly Clinical Assistant performs chart review and laboratory support for clinical research studies in the Pergam Group in the Infectious Disease Sciences Program of the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Division. This is an entry-level support role that works with Clinical Research Coordinators, Clinical Trial Assistants and faculty member.

Requirements

  • High school graduation or the equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Clinical Assistant, Ward Clerk, Unit Secretary or similar experience.
  • Strong attention-to-detail is required for the position.
  • Accurate, self-motivated, dependable and willing to learn.

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in infectious diseases with a focus on epidemiology.
  • Previous experience working with patient charts.
  • Competency working with Office Suite.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient chart reviews for clinical study through EPIC.
  • Determine eligibility and extract appropriate data from chart.
  • Assist with data analysis and creation of reports.
