About The Position

The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition is part of Boston Children's Hospital, ranked as one of the top children's hospitals in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. We provide families with individualized treatment plans and access to more specialized care than any other hospital. This Clinical Assistant will be responsible for working in our busy Gastrointestinal clinic caring for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults.

Requirements

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of Clinical Assistant experience required.
• Pediatrics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and/or registering patients, visitors, and staff for appointments.
• Facilitating patient flow through the clinic.
• Collecting, verifying, and recording required information.
• Obtaining records, files, and/or results for appointments and entering related information on appropriate computer systems.
• Assisting clinician during examinations.
• Obtaining, measuring, and recording routine information such as temperature and blood pressure, weights, heights, and lengths.
• Collecting specimens.
• Performing other related duties according to specific needs of the clinic, including supply inventory, and ordering and auditing clinic supplies and formula.
