We are looking for a full-time Clinical Assistant at our Pediatric Orthopedic location. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 8a-5p. The Clinical Assistant is responsible for providing and coordinating orthopedic patient care which includes performing routine office procedures and testing, participating in patient teaching, communicating effectively with others, and partnering with the physician/mid-level provider in the delivery of patient care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program for medical assistants, athletic training, or nursing, or experience plus certification
  • Certification is required
  • CMA/RMA must be registered/certified through one of the following national organizations: AAMA, NHA, ARMA, AMT, or AMCA
  • EMTs will need Emergency Medical Technician certification
  • ATCs will need to be board certified as Athletic Trainer
  • New graduates are welcome
  • Ability to triage patient telephone calls
  • Ability to clearly and effectively educate patients, families and staff regarding patient care needs
  • Communicate effectively and clearly with patients, physicians, and co-workers

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of EMR (Epic)
  • Experience in a clinical setting
