Requirements
- High School diploma
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Medical Terminology knowledge preferred
- Holds and maintains an active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required
Responsibilities
- Verifies patient information (i.e., medical history, purpose of visit) by communicating with a patient
- Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature
- Records appropriate patient information on patient charts and/or Salesforce
- Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records
- Counsels’ patients by transmitting physician’s orders and questions about surgery
- Assists in preparation of charts, pre-admission, and consent forms
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures as well as complies with legal regulations
- Upkeep’s inventory of supplies as needed
