About The Position
The Department of Psychological Sciences at Tarleton State University invites applications for a clinical faculty position in the area of School Psychology at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank. This position reports to the Department Head in the Department of Psychological Sciences. This is a 9-month non-tenure-track position with primary teaching responsibilities on Tarleton's main campus in Stephenville, Texas. Summer appointment is dependent upon need and funding availability. Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work and teaching requirements indicate. May be required to teach at other campuses or online at the institution's discretion. Must have the ability to work remotely at the request of the university in times of inclement weather or other special circumstances. This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate excellence and innovation in teaching, mentor both undergraduate and graduate students, and participate in the necessary operation of the institution. The position carries a 4/4 teaching load and involves instructing undergraduate and graduate courses in clinical psychology, including psychological tests and measurements, abnormal psychology, and child psychopathology. The role will support the new Specialist in School Psychology degree program, and the candidate will also teach doctoral-level courses, including those in psychometrics and human development, to support the new Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology.
