About The Position

Position Summary: The Resource is responsible for EHR and other clinical use applications support within and outside the EHR to physician providers, clinicians and all applicable staff on-site across the UCI enterprise including multiple healthcare facilities and specialty ambulatory clinics. The Resource will address clinical support issues, deliver training, and assist providers with EHR workflows to enhance efficiency and compliance. Additionally, this role will provide at-the-elbow support and training tools that connect with the EHR to drive provider efficiency, proficiency, and compliance.

Requirements

  • Three years of related clinical experience in a acute care or ambulatory setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Independent problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • In-depth understanding of Epic functionality and workflows
  • Familiarity with Epic modules such as COPE, Ambulatory, OpTime, Anesthesia, Stork, Cupid, Healthy Planet, ASAP, ClinDoc, Kaleidoscope, and others
  • Experience with voice-assisted documentation tools
  • Experience with data driven tools
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both in one-to-one and group settings
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience organizing, developing and delivering application training for all levels of staff including physicians
  • Certification in Epic or willing to obtain certification within first year of hire date
  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least three (3) years of Epic training and support
  • An understanding of AI in the healthcare setting
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
  • Ability to apply logical troubleshooting and analysis techniques for the purpose of problem resolution
  • Ability to adapt to and train providers on organization-specific workflows
