Position Summary: As a Clinical Applications Specialist, you will assume a key role in bridging the gap between our healthcare providers and clinical staff and the applications used every day. You will ensure optimal utilization of our healthcare technology systems as you implement, administer, and provide support for clinical and ancillary systems. You'll collaborate closely with other information technology teams to streamline application support, enhancing the efficiency of clinical workflows and the quality of patient care. In this role, you will contribute to critical design decisions, communicating complex concepts, and meticulously documenting issues related to applications and workflows across our organization. Whether you're offering solutions to trouble tickets, fulfilling service requests, or actively engaging in departmental and organizational projects, you'll play a vital part in our ongoing mission to put "Your Health Above All Else."

Requirements

  • To excel in this role, you should possess 3-5+ years of work experience in Application/Software support.
  • Demonstrated leadership or project management experience.
  • A degree from an accredited college, with a preference for a background in healthcare, adult education, or information management.
  • Enthusiasm for learning innovative technologies and techniques.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure, prioritize tasks, and maintain a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Collaborative spirit when working with a diverse, multi-discipline team.

Responsibilities

  • Application Support: As a seasoned expert, you will provide guidance on implementing, administering, and supporting designated systems. Your responsibilities include executing technical support tasks, installations, maintenance, testing, and thorough documentation. Tackling system troubleshooting.
  • Scrutinizing systems and performance indicators to pinpoint problems, ensuring timely resolution by escalating issues.
  • Becoming the go-to authority on the assigned applications for users, team members, vendors, and management.
  • Clinical Offices Support: Your role as a liaison will be pivotal, facilitating seamless communication between departments, clinical end users, and our technical experts.
  • Demonstrate leadership and coordinate efforts with department super users.
  • Offer hands-on support to providers and end users during clinical system implementations and upgrades.
  • Process and Documentation Management: Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure that all documentation for workflows, configuration activities, change management adherence, and training information is impeccably completed.
  • Furthermore, you will focus on enhancing application configurations to help users grasp the capabilities and limitations of our information systems.
  • Training: You will contribute to our educational initiatives, helping users adapt to system upgrades and new installations. Your role will also encompass educational efforts in clinical application utilization, data reporting, and other aspects of clinical technology. Your role will include onsite software trainings for new users, as needed.
  • Project Management: In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, you will play a pivotal role in system-wide Information Services projects. This may involve coordinating project resources and facilitating collaboration to ensure successful project completion, as well as, providing regular written and oral project status reports.
