Clinical Application Analyst

TEKsystemsHartsville, SC

About The Position

We’re hiring a Clinical Applications Analyst – Athena & Physician Systems to close a critical gap for our providers. You’ll be the go-to resource for Athena optimization, physician-facing applications, and project implementations—working hand-in-hand with clinicians to improve documentation, orders, and overall workflow efficiency. You’ll collaborate with our existing Meditech analyst to ensure smooth cross-system alignment, but your primary impact will be in the physician/Athena space. What You’ll Do Partner with physicians to optimize AthenaOne documentation, orders/templates, routing, and coding alignment; coordinate changes with Athena support. Lead/coordinate implementations for physician-facing tools (e.g., Athena Ambient AI, imaging-adjacent software), including UAT, go-live, and hypercare. Conduct workflow rounding with providers; capture pain points and deliver quick wins plus a prioritized backlog. Translate clinical requirements into clear build/config tickets, test changes, and communicate updates with concise job aids. Collaborate with the Meditech analyst to ensure changes in Athena don’t break downstream processes (ADT, orders, billing, quality reports). Participate in ticket management (ServiceNow), triage issues, escalate interface/HL7 concerns, and close the loop with users. Support leadership and Quality/PI teams by validating cross-system data outputs (no heavy report writing required). Develop a 60–90 day stabilization roadmap with early wins, measurable outcomes, and recommendations for longer-term improvements. Outcomes (First 60–90 Days) Document and deliver 3–5 quick wins in provider documentation or orders/templates in Athena. Stand up a lightweight intake and prioritization process for physician requests. Complete UAT and go-live for at least one physician-facing initiative (or advance it through a major milestone). Publish simple job aids and release notes to improve adoption. Align with the Meditech analyst on interface touchpoints and escalation paths for ADT/HL7 issues.
