About The Position

The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at UW Health is seeking a Family Medicine physician to join the Deforest-Windsor Clinic. This role involves providing comprehensive family medicine care, including optional maternity care and newborn rounding, while also engaging in clinical teaching of medical students and other learners. The position may include academic scholarly work and participation in collaborative initiatives within the university's health system.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree with a focus in Family Medicine.
• Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine.
• Experience in clinical teaching and working with diverse populations is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in obstetrics/maternity care is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care to patients in a family medicine setting.
• Engage in clinical teaching of medical students and other learners.
• Participate in the clinical faculty call schedule (phone call only).
• Conduct nursing home visits as needed.
• Attend departmental meetings and perform necessary administrative duties.
• Possibly provide obstetrics/maternity care and/or newborn rounding.
• Work collaboratively on initiatives within UW-SMPH & UW Health.
