Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our Primary Care leadership team in the role of Clinical Ambulatory Manager. The clinical manager combines clinical experience and contemporary leadership practices with the IU Health Way to achieve excellent outcomes. Accountable for translating and achieving our strategic priorities and outcomes: quality and safety improvements, care affordability, great patient experiences, and great team member experiences. Accountable for providing strategic vision and operational planning for assigned unit. Incumbents will lead an inter-professional team to create an environment where the team is empowered to achieve excellence in patient and organizational outcomes. This role is accountable for advancing nursing practice by advocating and consistently embedding evidenced-base practices and professional nursing standards. This position is supporting a new primary care office going live in May 2026. It will be fully onsite Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM. Strong preference for candidates with previous leadership experience.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN).
  • If bachelor degree not in nursing, must have Master of Nursing (MSN).
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Required Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
  • Specialty certification related to nursing practice or leadership is preferred.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Strong preference for candidates with previous leadership experience.
