Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher) OR 4+ years of experience working within the healthcare industry or with health insurance
  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • 1+ years of experience working within the healthcare industry or with health insurance
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Word, Excel (create, edit, save documents) and Outlook (email and calendar management)
  • Ability to work the hours of 8 am to 5 pm Central Standard time
  • Access to a designated quiet workspace in your home (separated from non-workspace areas) with the ability to secure Protected Health Information (PHI)
  • Live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
  • Must reside in the state of Tennessee

Nice To Haves

  • Prior work at home experience
  • Experience in a clerical or administrative role
  • Medicare and/or Medicaid experience
  • Long-term care knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Manage administrative intake of members
  • Work collaboratively with clinical partners and Home and Community Based Service providers to manage and authorize services
  • Process incoming and outgoing referrals, including intake and notifications to providers
  • Handle resolution inquiries from members, providers and clinical partners
  • Initiate outreach to providers concerning availability, authorizations, and compliance
  • Collaborate with internal departments including Advocates, Clinical Team and Leadership to resolve any issues relating to Provider's compliance
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA Requirements
  • Consistently meet established productivity, scheduling, and quality standards
  • Navigate and document inside multiple clinical applications
  • Perform other duties as assigned
