Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working within the health care Industry and with health care insurance
  • Experience working in a hospital, physician's office, or medical clinic setting
  • Experience in home health
  • A clerical or administrative support background
  • Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT codes
  • Previous experience with EPIC
  • Experience working in a call center
  • Bilingual English/Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Ensure patient care is delivered in a timely manner and in compliance with state and federal regulations for home care through scheduling patients at time of intake and throughout certification period in compliance with physician orders
  • Assure high quality customer-patient service to all internal and external customers primarily through telephone communications by answering incoming calls and inquiries from health care system representatives to coordinate with office and field clinicians
  • Assist manager and clinicians to assure home care services including supervisory visits are scheduled and delivered in compliance with state and federal regulations through ongoing audit by monitoring of key reports and scheduling authorizations for ongoing visits
  • Multi-task; utilizing multiple applications at a time
  • Heavy phones and data entry
