About The Position

Purpose Supports and participates in the provision of safe, effective and culturally competent care for the patients under the supervision of the Surgical Services Manager. Essential Job Functions A healthcare professional that is primarily responsible for answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, setting up the room and gowning patients, patient transport, and assisting the technologist as needed.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of medical terminology.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication.
  • Proficiency with Electronic health records.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
  • Ability to prioritize appointments.
  • Capacity to effectively manage patient flow to optimize clinic efficiency.
  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • Keyboarding and computer experience; EMR, Scheduling, Insurance Pre Authorization experience, Dependent Adult/Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training; CPI training, CPR. EKG’s, Tele Health Services.
  • More than 1 year experience preferred in the medical profession.
  • Interactions is with a variety of people. These may be fellow employees, customers, the public or other outside the organization.
  • Communications are of moderate difficulty and sensitivity.
  • Interactions usually involve dealing with moderately complicated problem situations or stressful encounters.
  • The job requires a moderate amount of interpersonal skills.
  • There are little or no adverse environmental conditions to consider.
  • There are some health and safety risk.
  • Position may require safety equipment and precautions.
  • The amount of time the employee may experience these moderate conditions is limited to 35% or less of their day.
