About The Position

The Clinic Technician Specialist (EMT-I/Paramedic) at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center assists practitioners in assigned Urgent Care and/or specialty clinics by performing procedures, managing telephone prescription orders and refills, maintaining patient records, and relaying test results. This role involves performing delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a physician or mid-level practitioner. The Urgent Care teams at Samaritan Health Services treat conditions that require immediate attention but are not considered life-threatening or severe enough to be cared for in the hospital emergency department.

Requirements

  • Current Oregon Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)-Intermediate or Paramedic licensure required.
  • Six months of related experience required.
  • Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
  • ACLS certification required within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in applicable specialty area preferred.
  • Experience and/or training with medical terminology preferred.
  • Lab/EKG experience preferred.
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred.

Responsibilities
