This role is an active member of the front desk team and works to welcome patient families for their appointment and serves as liaison between patient families and the clinical team. This position reports to the Primary Care Practice Manager and collaborates with the Lead Clinic Coordinator and Regional Access Specialist for optimal outcomes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year related work experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, medical menu software, medical billing, patient scheduling, and business office procedures preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to assist patients, parents, physicians, and other staff.
  • Good concentration skills to handle incoming calls efficiently and accurately.
  • Required flexibility to prioritize efforts to meet the needs of patients, parents, physicians, and other staff.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while performing duties.
  • May be required to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patient families for their appointment.
  • Serve as a liaison between patient families and the clinical team.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Clinic Coordinator and Regional Access Specialist.
  • Assist and support other primary care locations as requested.
