As a Clinic Nurse at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital & Clinics, you will play a vital role in preparing patients for their appointments by conducting thorough assessments, including taking vital signs, discussing chief complaints, and reviewing medications, all meticulously entered into our electronic records. You will assist Physicians and Mid-Levels during examinations and procedures, ensuring a seamless patient experience. This position requires a deep understanding of growth and development principles, enabling you to address specific patient issues with precision and care. You will also demonstrate the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively serve the primary population of patients in our department, contributing to their overall well-being and fostering a trusting environment.

Requirements

graduates of an accredited LPN/RN program
maintain current registration and a valid license with the Iowa Board of Nursing
Compliance with all continuing education requirements mandated by the Board is essential
A strong foundation in skilled nursing practice is necessary
a comprehensive understanding of clinic setting nursing dynamics
maintaining BLS certification is required
exhibit a high degree of empathetic understanding, tact, and kindness
Excellent communication skills are vital for collaborating effectively with colleagues, fostering a team-oriented approach in delivering high-quality patient care
Must meet all CEU requirements mandated by the Iowa Board of Nursing
Must demonstrate knowledge of skilled nursing practice
Must maintain knowledge in all areas of clinic setting nursing
Must have clinical knowledge necessary to competently perform quality nursing care duties
Post-offer, pre-employment fit-for-duty assessment required, as well as Influenza vaccination
