About The Position

Assist varies providers as needed with examinations at varies locations. Collection of laboratory specimens and performance of tests on patients as ordered by the provider and/or arrange for patient testing, admissions, and referrals. Enter and record patient information in the medical record in a concise and accurate manner.

Requirements

Must be have a NC RN license
Computer skills including Epic, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Teams are preferred
Strong organizational and people skills required
Successful applicant must have excellent communication skills and be a team player
Maintain strict confidentiality of medical, financial, and staff related information
Able to perform multiple tasks at once in an organized manner

Nice To Haves

Minimum two years of nursing experience in cardiology preferred

Responsibilities

Room patients and obtain basic vital signs (Weight, BP, SpO2, EKG)
Triage patient phone calls
Monitor lab results/report these to physician
Review test results with patient as instructed by physician
Manage prescription refills with patient/pharmacy/physician
Oversees patients' charts for appointment (make sure all records are in chart/referrals in chart/any test results in chart)/ preload information in Epic
Make sure patients are appropriately scheduled according to guidelines
Maintains BLS/ACLS certification
Knowledge of insurance authorization process a plus
Attend huddle and department meetings as scheduled by clinic manager
Complete professional development programs as requested/needed
Abide by OSHA and HIPAA guidelines
Maintain patient and practice confidentiality
Maintain professional demeanor with patients, caregivers, manager, physicians, and coworkers
