About The Position

The Clinic Nurse Manager is a full-time clinical and operational leader responsible for setting and maintaining the standard of exceptional patient care within our outpatient cosmetic surgery clinic. This role blends hands-on clinical nursing with leadership, workflow oversight, EMR optimization, documentation quality, patient experience, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled Registered Nurse with a passion for patient-centered care, strong leadership presence, and a proactive approach to leveraging EMR systems to improve safety, efficiency, and accuracy. This position works closely with surgeons, administrators, and clinic staff to uphold the highest professional standards and ensure compliance with AAAHC accreditation requirements.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
  • Current, unrestricted RN license in Colorado
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience, including:
  • 3+ years in pre- and post-surgical patient care
  • 2+ years in leadership or supervisory roles preferred
  • Proven experience supervising staff and managing clinical workflows
  • Strong EMR proficiency, including chart auditing and workflow optimization
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume outpatient surgical environment
  • Strong commitment to patient-centered care, accountability, and continuous improvement

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years in leadership or supervisory roles preferred
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in EMR systems (Nextech preferred), including documentation accuracy and optimization

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a clinical expert in pre- and post-operative care for all procedures performed at the Center for Cosmetic Surgery
  • Provide compassionate, thorough patient education regarding procedures and recovery expectations
  • Perform post-op assessments, suture removal, and follow-up care within RN scope and protocol
  • Ensure all required pre- and post-operative phone calls are completed and documented accurately
  • Review patient medical histories to identify clearance requirements or additional testing needs
  • Conduct comprehensive EMR chart checks (implants, garments, clearances, mammograms, documentation completeness)
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of patient histories, medications, allergies, and assessments
  • Respond promptly to patient and staff inquiries via EMR, phone, or email
  • Provide after-hours nursing support and participate in the on-call rotation
  • Investigate post-operative concerns appropriately, including review of photos and documentation
  • Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and infection control standards
  • Respond effectively to clinical emergencies and maintain equipment competency
  • Ensure proper cleaning, storage, and handling of equipment, supplies, and waste
  • Provide daily leadership and clinical oversight for the nursing team
  • Ensure appropriate staffing, equitable workload distribution, and reliable coverage
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, mentoring, and performance evaluations
  • Address performance concerns promptly with clear, supportive accountability
  • Create and manage nursing schedules, including on-call rotations
  • Lead monthly nursing meetings focused on workflow, expectations, and initiatives
  • Collaborate with surgeons and administrators to manage high-volume clinic schedules
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and implement process improvements
  • Conduct chart audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Oversee staff competencies, continuing education, and required clinical drills (AAAHC)
  • Support nurses in clinical decision-making and escalation pathways
  • Assist with development and revision of clinical policies, workflows, and SOPs
  • Ensure clinic supplies and equipment are stocked, organized, and properly maintained
  • Meet regularly with the Practice Manager to review staffing, operations, and performance
  • Uphold the professional image and standards of the Center for Cosmetic Surgery
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment (OSHA compliant)
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborate effectively with leadership and staff at all levels
  • Attend required meetings, trainings, and team communications
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in EMR systems (Nextech preferred), including documentation accuracy and optimization
