Your day as a Clinic RN - Cornerstone Family Practice As a Clinic Nurse at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital & Clinics, you will play a vital role in preparing patients for their appointments by conducting thorough assessments, including taking vital signs, discussing chief complaints, and reviewing medications, all meticulously entered into our electronic records. You will assist Physicians and Mid-Levels during examinations and procedures, ensuring a seamless patient experience. This position requires a deep understanding of growth and development principles, enabling you to address specific patient issues with precision and care. You will also demonstrate the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively serve the primary population of patients in our department, contributing to their overall well-being and fostering a trusting environment. To thrive as a Clinic Nurse at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital & Clinics, candidates must be graduates of an accredited LPN/RN program and maintain current registration and a valid license with the Iowa Board of Nursing. Compliance with all continuing education requirements mandated by the Board is essential, ensuring your skills are up-to-date. A strong foundation in skilled nursing practice is necessary, along with a comprehensive understanding of clinic setting nursing dynamics. Additionally, maintaining BLS certification is required to guarantee readiness for any emergency situation. Successful candidates will exhibit a high degree of empathetic understanding, tact, and kindness, enabling them to build rapport with patients and their families. Excellent communication skills are vital for collaborating effectively with colleagues, fostering a team-oriented approach in delivering high-quality patient care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited LPN/RN Program.
  • Must meet all CEU requirements mandated by the Iowa Board of Nursing.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of skilled nursing practice.
  • Must maintain current registration and valid license with the Iowa Board of Nursing.
  • Must maintain knowledge in all areas of clinic setting nursing.
  • Must maintain BLS Certification.
  • Must have clinical knowledge necessary to competently perform quality nursing care duties.
  • Must display a high degree of empathetic understanding tact and kindness toward other have ability to communicate well and work effectively with others be a team player.
  • Post-offer, pre-employment fit-for-duty assessment required, as well as Influenza vaccination.
