About The Position

The Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) II is responsible for managing individualized patient care, promoting and restoring patients' health in accordance with medical and nursing plans of care. This role involves collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to develop, execute, and evaluate care plans, while ensuring a safe care environment and delivering quality care to patients and families.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (minimum).
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • At least one year of nursing (RN) experience required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification after hire according to department standards.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification after hire according to department standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individualized patient assessments, prioritizing data collection based on immediate needs.
  • Perform ongoing assessments and reprioritize care as necessary.
  • Integrate nursing interventions into the multidisciplinary plan of care.
  • Develop and modify individualized care plans incorporating medical and multidisciplinary elements.
  • Establish measurable patient goals in consultation with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Perform treatments as ordered by providers in a timely manner.
  • Execute therapeutic nursing interventions as per individualized care plans.
  • Recognize and respond to urgent/emergent risks to patients.
  • Initiate emergency resuscitative measures when appropriate.
  • Manage care for a specialty patient population effectively.
  • Provide culturally sensitive care that respects patient autonomy and dignity.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members for appropriate patient care interventions.
  • Evaluate patient responses to care and adjust care plans based on effectiveness.
  • Document patient assessments, responses to interventions, and progress towards goals.
  • Identify learning needs of patients/families and adapt education accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families to include them in care plans.
  • Assume responsibility for personal learning and professional development needs.
  • Maintain competency in nursing specialty and attend required educational programs.
  • Supervise delegated care based on personnel abilities and patient acuity.
  • Report changes in patient conditions to appropriate personnel.
  • Participate in service recovery and conflict resolution as needed.
  • Support resource utilization efforts within the organization.
  • Serve as a preceptor/mentor for new employees and students.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and communicate practice concerns.
  • Engage in research or evidence-based practice projects as assigned.
  • Maintain confidentiality and serve as a patient advocate.
