About The Position

The Clinic Receptionist at Highland Pediatrics, part of CommonSpirit Health, plays a crucial role in ensuring a smooth patient intake process and providing general administrative support within the clinic. This position is essential for maintaining compliance with clinic and regulatory policies while enhancing the patient experience through efficient service delivery.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Electronic medical record experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient check-in at the time of visit and complete all necessary paperwork for the admitting process.
• Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately.
• Schedule appointments according to office guidelines.
• Obtain accurate patient and insurance information, collecting copays and deductible amounts.
• Copy/scan patient access related hardcopy materials into the electronic medical record.
• Prepare charts for patient appointments ensuring all necessary information is complete.
• Conduct all functions associated with patient check-out including pricing services and collecting payments.
• Perform duties involving record filing and retrieval and assist with filing registration documentation in electronic medical records.
• Confirm next day appointments and alert patients regarding necessary documentation.
• Follow up with patients regarding the Missed Appointment Policy and send out appropriate communications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
