The receptionist also schedules, confirms, cancels, and reschedules appointments, thoroughly completes charts for upcoming patient visits, and efficiently utilizes EMR features. Clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, verification, and ordering supplies are also part of the role. Regular attendance and meeting ongoing competency requirements are essential.
