Newberry Health is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physicians Assistant (PA) to join our exceptional team.

Job Summary
The NP/PA will provide comprehensive primary care services including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions. The provider will practice with a high level of autonomy while collaborating with physicians and clinical staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Documentation is completed in Athenahealth Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
• Active and unrestricted NP or PA license in South Carolina
• National certification (ANCC, AANP, PANCE, etc.) preferred
• BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
• Perform physical exams and order/interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, EKGs, Holter monitors, PFTs, etc.)
• Develop and implement treatment plans
• Perform in-office procedures such as suturing, I&D, injections, immunizations, and minor procedures
• Educate patients on disease management and preventative care
• Collaborate effectively with physicians and clinical team members
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR
• Support a positive patient experience and team environment
