About The Position

The Clinic Paramedic will work closely with the providers and clinical staff at the Little Rock Diagnostic Clinic to provide high-quality patient care. This position performs various clinical and administrative tasks to ensure efficient patient flow and effective treatment in a fast-paced environment. The Clinic Paramedic exhibits professional communication, advanced clinical skill, and a commitment to patient safety while assisting with both pediatric and family practice patients.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current Paramedic Certification/License in the State of Arkansas required.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience as a Paramedic or in a high-volume clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform initial patient assessments, including triaging and recording vital signs.
  • Administer medications and perform clinical procedures within the scope of Paramedic licensure and clinic protocols.
  • Assist providers with minor office procedures, exams, and emergency situations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Prepare and organize exam rooms, ensuring they are clean and fully stocked for patient visits.
  • Respond to medical emergencies within the clinic and provide stabilization until further care is available.
  • Coordinate patient flow to minimize wait times and maximize provider efficiency.
  • Sterilize medical instruments and ensure all clinical equipment is functioning properly.
  • Handle patient inquiries via phone and portal, providing appropriate medical advice under provider supervision.
  • Assist with laboratory tasks, including specimen collection and processing.
  • Maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality (HIPAA) with all patient materials and information.
  • Attend all required clinic and staff meetings.
  • Contribute to the clinical team by assisting colleagues during high-volume periods.
  • Monitor inventory of clinical supplies and submit orders as directed by the Practice Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.
