About The Position

The Clinic Office Assistant is responsible for answering incoming calls, scheduling, accurate patient registration, insurance and demographic verification, payment processing, and referrals.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or GED.
  • Self-starter, highly motivated candidate with friendly, outgoing personality, and excellent customer service skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • Clinic Office Receptionist/Secretary preferred.
  • Must have computer skills, experience with the Epic EMR preferred.
  • Office skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and insurance terminology a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Financial/analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of insurance rules, including reimbursement, third-party payers, pre-certification, ICD-10, and CPT coding.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of medical, financial, and staff related information.
  • Able to perform several tasks at once in an organized manner.
