About The Position

Our Behavioral Health Clinic is searching for a qualified and motivated nurse to join our team. Certification as LPN, or CMA is required. A minimum of 1-2 years experience in a primary care setting is preferred. Familiarity with computers is imperative. The ideal candidate will be diligent, flexible, and able to work well in a team environment. Applicants should note that this is a fast-paced work place which will challenge one to higher levels of efficiency.

Requirements

• Certification as LPN, or CMA is required
• Familiarity with computers is imperative

Nice To Haves

• 1-2 years experience in a primary care setting is preferred
• 2 years experience with EMR systems

Responsibilities

• Checking vitals
• Interviewing patients
• Reviewing and updating allergies and medications
• Updating chief complaints
• Managing patient care according to each patient’s needs under Provider Supervision
• Collecting Urine Specimens, Throat swabs, EKG, spirometry
• Administering injections of medications
• Verifying that patient charts are updated promptly and accurately
• Observing and recording patients’ conditions and reactions to medications and treatments
• Creating and entering data in spreadsheets, drafting memos and letters when needed
• Referrals and obtaining Pre-Certifications for procedures and medication
• Attending to refill requests, patient forms, and other patient-related documentation
• Communicating with patients by phone and/or via the patient portal
