About The Position

This position supports healthcare teams by ensuring they have everything needed to care for patients and plays a crucial role in enhancing the patient experience and preparation during clinic visits. The role involves performing general patient care following established clinic workflows, greeting and preparing patients, collecting specimens, administering medications/vaccines, cleaning instruments, and maintaining exam room stock and order. The position is located at Florence Family Clinic with a Monday-Friday 8a-5p schedule, no weekends, no holidays, and no call. A sign-on bonus of up to $5000 is offered, paid in full after 30 days of employment. The clinic is also open to hiring EMTs, Paramedics, or LPNs for this role, with pay differing per position.

Requirements

Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP)
Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reason for visit.
Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
Cleans and sterilizes instruments.
Ensures patient exam rooms are stocked, clean, and orderly.
Escalates non-routine issues, questions and/or concerns timely and appropriately.
Ensures safety checklists and quality controls are completed as required and necessary action taken if indicated.
Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned.
