Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• One year of experience in a school setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and protects the optimal health status of children by providing health assessments and develops and implements health plans.
• Delegation of duties per Iowa Board of nursing delegation model with health assistants.
• Functional supervision of health assistants through competency oversight.
• Participates in continuous quality improvement process.
• Administers medication and treatments as indicated.
• Conducts client interviews, assessments and screenings.
• Administers immunizations.
• Maintains, evaluates, and interprets cumulative health data to accommodate health needs of the students.
