About The Position

Job Description: Clinical Operations Oversight: Oversee all daily clinical and administrative operations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA, TJC standards). Staff Management and Leadership: Lead, mentor, recruit, hire, and evaluate a team of Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs), and other support staff. Develop staff schedules and assignments to ensure appropriate coverage and patient safety. Patient Care and Advocacy: Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-centered care. Serve as a patient advocate, addressing escalated patient and family concerns and ensuring a positive patient experience. Quality Improvement: Develop, implement, and monitor quality improvement initiatives and performance metrics to enhance patient outcomes and clinic efficiency. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective action plans. Policy and Procedure Development: Develop, review, and implement nursing policies and procedures specific to women's health services (e.g., infection control protocols, nurse visit protocols, GDM protocols). Resource and Financial Management: Participate in the development and administration of the departmental budget, manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment, and identify opportunities for cost savings. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care plans and foster effective teamwork. Education and Training: Coordinate orientation and ongoing education/professional development programs for clinical staff to maintain knowledge of current practices and certifications.

Requirements

  • Current license as a Professional Registered Nurse in New York State
  • BSN required
  • BLS/ACLS/NRP
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1-3 years in a leadership/supervisory role (e.g., Charge Nurse, Clinical Coordinator).
  • Strong leadership, management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.
  • Ability to think critically, make informed decisions, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

  • Experience in an OB/GYN or women's health clinical setting is highly preferred.
