About The Position

The Clinic Manager for Urgent Care at American Family Care is responsible for overseeing the total operations of the clinic, ensuring high-quality patient care, managing non-physician staff, and maintaining clinic facilities and supplies. This role involves ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, managing patient billing, and fostering a positive work environment for staff while also engaging with patients to enhance their experience.

Requirements

  • College degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a medical office or urgent care setting.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office, EMR, and billing systems.
  • Demonstrated skills in written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to deliver high levels of customer service and achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Understanding of compliance and regulatory guidelines (HIPAA, OSHA, etc.).
  • Understanding of revenue cycle management.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Assistant or LVN or other clinical certification.
  • Experience with social media marketing and patient engagement.
  • Familiarity with HR/Hiring systems like Indeed, ZipRecruiter, etc.
  • Experience with payroll systems like ADP or Paychex.
  • Back office accounting experience with Quickbooks.

Responsibilities

  • Manage total operations for the Urgent Care Clinic.
  • Interview and select individuals for various clinic positions.
  • Create and manage work schedules to ensure optimal staffing.
  • Supervise, evaluate, and discipline non-physician staff.
  • Ensure staff compliance with company policies and state and federal regulations.
  • Train employees to perform assigned duties safely and correctly.
  • Monitor clinic activity and patient flow for efficient care.
  • Ensure medical care is delivered according to physician instructions.
  • Investigate and resolve patient and staff complaints.
  • Ensure compliance with front office and back-office procedures.
  • Manage patient billing and work closely with billing companies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and stock of clinic supplies.
  • Lead team meetings and develop training programs for staff.
