About The Position

The role of the License Practical Nurse (LPN) at US Urology Partners is to provide administrative and clinical support to the providers of the practice. The LPN must be able to work independently as well as interact as part of a team, consistently demonstrating respect and professionalism to fellow staff members.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited LPN Program.
• Current state License.
• Current CPR certification.
• At least one (1) year of medical/surgical experience is preferred.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Thorough knowledge in computer information systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct assigned provider patient schedule throughout the day.
• Responsible for medication/script line.
• Re-direct messages to the RN, PA/NP or provider if any clinical assessments need to be made on the patient’s behalf.
• Complete all company training and in-services in a timely manner, including annual OSHA training and PPD placements.
• Prepare room & equipment for office procedures and assist providers with clinical care.
• Greet patients in the waiting area and escort them to the clinical care area for their appointment.
• Assist in placing all personal belongings in the appropriate place in the exam room.
• Accurately update patient EMR chart regarding weight, vital signs, medications, and medical updates.
• Explain procedures to patients and address any questions or concerns within the scope of practice.
• Maintain working knowledge of OSHA compliance standards and apply these policies and procedures to daily responsibilities.
• Report any adverse medication events to supervising provider.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
