Requirements

• Completion of an approved Medical Assistant Program or equivalent work experience
• Basic Life Saving Certification
• Knowledge of clinic operations
• Excellent customer service skills
• Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients
• Operate the switchboard
• Collect payments at the time of service
• Schedule appointments and coordinate activities within the department
• Prepare patients for their appointments by taking vital signs and documenting chief complaints
• Review medications in the electronic health record
• Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures
