About The Position

This position is responsible for housekeeping activities within the CPNHS facilities, including light maintenance and repair of small equipment. The role involves performing and assisting with housekeeping duties in selected areas of the health facility, strictly observing CPNHS infection control processes and procedures. Key tasks include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning tables and chairs, emptying trash cans, and restocking products in bathrooms and break areas. The Housekeeper will also coordinate activities with other departments to ensure efficient service delivery, move furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed, and maintain exterior grounds, walkways, and parking areas. A critical aspect of the role is directing activities to prevent the spread of infections within the facilities. The position requires compliance with all health care immunization requirements and may involve providing services to patients of all ages, including Indian Children, which necessitates a criminal history background screening.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate competency and experience in maintenance and housekeeping.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written directions and instructions.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • State of Oklahoma Driver’s License in good standing is required.
  • Ability to effectively use standard janitorial/custodial supplies and equipment to meet Health Care regulations for cleaning.
  • Ability to communicate well with the staff and the public.
  • Must meet all health care immunization requirements.

  • Specialized experience in health facility maintenance and housekeeping preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties and projects as required by management.
