Position Summary: Responsible to provide quality cardiac and peripheral vascular ultrasound scans as directed by the physician. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday. Rotation of call days/weekends/holidays is required. Work Environment: May be required to deal with unpleasant environmental situations resulting from patient care or patient activity.
Requirements
- Must have an Associate of Science degree in cardiovascular ultrasound technology, or a certificate of successful completion from a school of cardiac ultrasound.
- Must have working knowledge of cardiac and vascular pathology.
- Must be registered in at least one modality, Cardiac or Vascular Technologist.
- Must be registered in both modalities within one year from being cross-trained in both echo and vascular exams, and able to take call independently.
- Maintain required CME’s.
Nice To Haves
- 2-3 years of previous ultrasound experience preferred.
