Clinic Coordinator - Urgent Care

About The Position

This position is primarily responsible for providing personalized and responsive quality of care in productive and cost-efficient manner, encouraging the professional growth and development of the nursing, ancillary and administrative staff to improve management responsibilities and maximize productivity. Duties: All duties performed will be done accurately and in a timely manner. Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Plans, administers and directs all services rendered at the clinic in conjunction with the Clinic’s Physicians. Monitors patient flow at the clinic and ensures the availability of services and efficient utilization of resources. Ensures customer service is maintained at the highest level at all times. Establishes goals and objectives for employees to follow with specific deadlines for meeting such goals. Directs staff in methods of developing and achieving performance objectives and applies corrective action as needed. Provides leadership and support to supervisors; in their specific areas. Reviews monthly statistics conducted by clinic staff, and submits a management report on a monthly basis. Ensures clinics compliance to company policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with Regulatory Agencies’ guidelines. Oversees maintenance and repair of medical and office equipment. Submits accurate and timely reports such as payroll, productivity reports, physicians schedules, and staff meeting minutes. Assists patients with problems or concerns as may arise. Provides a clean and safe clinic environment for employees and patients. Interviews, hires, trains and terminates clinic staff as needed. Monitors employee’s performance, conducting counseling and disciplinary actions, as applicable. Conducts annual performance evaluations of all clinic staff. Conducts meetings with clinic Lead Physicians and supervisors to ensure clinics policies and procedures are implemented. Performs duties of absent employees when situation demands. Work overtime as required. Responsible for providing assistance in the development of a budget for their respective clinic, for maintaining quality control, for the development of profit opportunities for the organization. Provides expertise and assistance in assigned areas. Develops improved management techniques and practices. Resolves any departmental administrative problems and keeps lines of communication with staff open. Maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional growth and development to keep current in the latest trends in collections management. Maintains strict confidentiality Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises assigned staff. Is responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Administrative Duties: Exercise discretion and independent judgment. Work Environment: Depending upon the area assigned, may be 100% clinical setting or office setting in a clinical environment. Exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment. Physical Demands: Requires manual dexterity, sitting, standing, stooping, reaching, kneeling, crouching, bending, walking, lifting up to 25 lbs. Close vision and ability to adjust focus. Requirements

  • A graduate of an accredited LVN program and possess a current TX LVN License, related Associates Degree or Medical assistant diploma from an accredited vocational institution, a community college course in medical assisting or military equivalent training required.
  • CPR/Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification required.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.
  • Knowledge of word-processing software, spreadsheet software; Internet software and database software

Nice To Haves

  • Three-Five years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of case management, quality management, utilization management and risk management preferred.
