About The Position

Position is responsible for assisting the Director of Clinic Operations with relevant projects to operate and grow the medical entities within Colusa Indian Community Council. The incumbent is expected to work in accordance with the mission, purpose, and values of the Colusa Indian Community Council.

Requirements

  • Must have at least six (6) months previous experience working in a medical office preferably in a Tribal, FQHC or RHC clinic
  • Must have knowledge of the PECOS and CAQH provider database
  • Must have extensive knowledge with Medicare and Medi-Cal insurance
  • Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Handles multiple projects with complete results
  • Exercises good judgment in decision making
  • Proactively seeks to modify and improve ideas or procedures and make them as effective as possible
  • Dedicated hard worker with the ability to report to work on a daily basis
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
  • Effective time management skills
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time at a computer and/or telephone
  • May occasionally lift and/or move up to (25-50) pounds

Responsibilities

  • Maintains working knowledge of licensing and regulatory requirements and communicates requirements to providers, staff and clinic leadership
  • Collaborates with all coworkers in performing duties required to provide patient-focused services that meet all regulatory and licensing standards
  • Assist Director of Clinic Operations with marketing and promotional initiatives to assist with budgetary volume projections
  • Assist Clinic Director with community outreach events to promote the Tribes medical entities
  • Work with Medical Director, Director of Clinic Operations and QA/RN with the development and implementation of an appropriate quality assurance improvement plan.
  • Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with all clinic staff and maintains a positive attitude with employees and patients.
  • Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of Indian Health Services
  • Assist Director with preparing monthly staffing schedules
  • Work with Clinic Director and QA/RN to maintain clinic policy and procedures
  • Prepare meeting minutes
  • Performs Administrative Assistant duties
  • Have a clear knowledge of the front desk responsibilities to cover staff when needed
  • Work to promote Industrial Medicine Services at the clinic. Positon will require Coordinator to perform drug and alcohol testing, and have an in-depth knowledge of Worker’s Compensation and Drug and Alcohol testing
  • Demonstrate good communication skills to interact with patients, public and the Administrative team
  • Position will require Clinic Coordinator to become a EHR Super-user to provide training and troubleshooting
  • Recruits, supervises, trains and evaluates the Health Clinic(s) Clerical Staff.
  • Assists with chart audits to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assists Director of Clinic Operations with ordering supplies and completing purchase orders.
  • Monitors Budget to ensure supplies are ordered appropriately.
  • Supervise provider’s schedules to ensure optimum performance and appropriate work flow.
  • Coordinates Clinic(s) staff meetings.
  • Maintains high confidentiality standards at all times. Is required to sign a confidentiality statement upon acceptance of employment
  • May perform other duties commensurate with the functions and level of the position.
