About The Position

The Clinic Coordinator and HR Representative role at Lakeview NeuroRehabilitation Center is a hybrid position that combines responsibilities in both the outpatient clinic and the Human Resources Department. The primary focus is on coordinating patient referrals and managing HR functions related to new employee intake and compliance.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of admitting and funding sources, re-certification process.
  • Ability to understand medical terminology.
  • Basic computer skills and functional knowledge of spreadsheets and Microsoft Word required.
  • High school graduate; college degree preferred.
  • Two years of healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Record, facilitate and coordinate re-certification insurance process.
  • Record, process referrals and coordinate Patient Referral Services process.
  • Provide accurate information for billing, medical records, and all patient care areas.
  • Coordinate efforts with the family and referring sources to ensure a smooth Patient Referral Services process.
  • Ensure a smooth admission process for patients and referral resources.
  • Prepare progress reports and information for re-certification for commercial and federal payers for all outpatients.
  • Act as intake coordinator for physician, psychologist, consultants, and LPC outpatient consults.
  • Coordinate chart set-up and compile records; responsible for patient scheduling and initial admissions.
  • Maintain accurate funding information and update client information regularly for accurate billing.
  • Obtain additional information needed by third-party payers to process claims and respond within 2 business days.
  • Work with individual Program Directors to ensure department-specific orientation for new hires is adequate.
  • Preserve the integrity and confidentiality of all employee information.
  • Maintain record keeping for various initiatives as needed.
  • Communicate Human Resources Policies & Procedures effectively to employees at all levels.
  • Setup Wellsky accounts for new patients.
  • Promote work practices consistent with Lakeview's mission and policies.
  • Assist with maintenance and updating of contact information and new hires in the central scheduling system.
  • Handle HR functions regarding pre-employment physicals and drug testing, including scheduling and paperwork.
  • Assist Infection Control Director with meeting preparations and maintain hospital patient vaccinations.
  • Maintain social media accounts as requested.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
