About The Position

Position Highlights: Position: Clinic Certified Nurse Assistant Job Type: PRN Location: Grand Valley Oncology Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care such as vital signs, height/weight, intake information, and basic comfort measures. Assist patients with mobility, transitions, positioning, and personal needs as appropriate in the clinic setting. Support nurses and providers with clinical procedures, treatments, and specimen collection. Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR). Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and supplies; ensure treatment areas are clean, safe, and stocked. Order in the EMR system all supply orders. Manage all linen stock, and coordinate with vendors and EVS for all linen orders, drops and pick-up. Work with the Materials team and supply chain to manage all stockrooms and supply PAR’s. Monitor patient flow, communicate delays to registration staff and patients, and support efficient clinic operations. Respond promptly to patient requests, call lights, and codes, and notify nursing staff of any changes in condition. Uphold infection prevention practices and follow all safety policies and procedures. Provide emotional support to patients and families, fostering trust and positive relationships. Collaborate effectively with the care team to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care. Support the needs of the Charge nurse as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current CNA certification in the State of Colorado (or ability to obtain before start date).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and committed to excellent patient care.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous CNA or medical assistant experience in a clinic or hospital setting preferred.
