About The Position

The Clinic Assistant/Scribe at Vivo Infusion plays a crucial role in supporting clinic operations by providing compassionate patient care and ensuring the smooth functioning of the facility. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with other staff members, patients, and physicians.
  • Advanced computer and typing abilities required.
  • 1 year experience working in a medical office or similar working experience preferred.
  • Understanding of medical terminology preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Certification as a medical assistant or scribe.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and guests, assist with check-in (in person or virtually) and update patient charts with pertinent information.
  • Enter patient information into the electronic health record (EHR), ensuring all data entered is accurate and maintained.
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care within the clinic assistance scope of practice under the direct supervision of the physician and nursing staff.
  • Report patient data, issues, and concerns to providers and nurses to ensure quality and continuity of patient care.
  • Clean and re-stock exam rooms.
  • Assist with the collection, maintenance, and appropriate filing of patient records.
  • Follow company policies and CDC guidelines for infection control.
  • Immediately report any unsafe condition to the Clinic Manager.
  • Perform all duties in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines and high work volume.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all company and patient records.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Comply with company-established policy and attend all required meetings including staff, CQI, and educational sessions.
  • Rooming patients, answering calls, monitoring faxes, and assisting with office administrative duties.
