The Secretary/Receptionist performs general clerical support and office duties for the department and its Management. This role involves basic administrative functions such as preparing business correspondence, memorandums, informational packages, training materials, and reports. The assistant will also help with scheduling, maintain calendars and daily schedules, and manage departmental tracking logs. Key responsibilities include greeting visitors, directing them appropriately, establishing and maintaining filing systems and basic databases, and performing routine office tasks like filing, copying, and scanning. The position provides general clerical support to management staff, including scheduling meetings, routing phone calls, taking messages, recording meeting minutes, sorting and distributing mail, and maintaining office supplies. The assistant is expected to escalate issues to their supervisor when necessary and assist with various projects as assigned. Additional responsibilities may vary based on department or location.
