Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited professional nursing program required.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska or approved compact state.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures to meet patient medical needs.
• Coordinate the flow of patients, phone calls, lab work, and nurse visits.
• Provide professional nursing care as prescribed by the physician.
• Maintain patient flow to avoid delays for providers and patients.
• Collect subjective and objective data for patient assessment and document appropriately.
• Make accurate observations and document changes in patient conditions.
• Respond to messages and calls from patients and other medical offices in a timely manner.
• Assist medical providers during examinations and procedures.
• Keep exam rooms clean, disinfected, and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Schedule follow-up and specialty appointments for patients.
• Explain tests and preparation needed for patient education.
• Monitor inventory of supplies and communicate with the Office Manager.
• Administer injections, vital signs, and testing as delegated.
