As a Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center, we provide leading-edge treatment for stroke recovery. Our facility also offers specialized services in bariatric surgery, robotic surgery, minimally invasive spine procedures, and advanced orthopedic care. Short Stay Unit: The Fort Sanders Regional Short Stay Unit is one of the hospital’s newest and most dynamic areas, designed specifically to manage admissions and discharges with efficiency and high-quality care. With only 10 beds, the unit focuses on streamlining transitions into and out of the hospital by minimizing wait times, completing essential assessments, initiating ordered therapies, and preparing patients for procedures, surgery, or discharge. Teamwork is central to the unit’s success, as nurses and support staff collaborate closely to ensure patients receive timely, well-coordinated care. Position Summary: Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit; coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
