As a Climbing Arborist at The Davey Tree Expert Company, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and safety of trees and surrounding areas. Your primary responsibilities will include trimming and removing trees, as well as eliminating unwanted, diseased, or dying limbs. This position requires you to operate as an active crew member, collaborating closely with the ground crew and crew leader to ensure that all tree pruning and removal services are performed safely and skillfully. You will be trained in both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems, allowing you to effectively navigate and work within the tree canopy. Your daily tasks will involve a variety of activities, including pruning, thinning, and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy, as well as the installation of cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems. You will also be responsible for the removal of hazardous trees and the proper maintenance, preparation, and operation of all tools and equipment, such as chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
