About The Position

What We Can Achieve Together: The Associate will play a dual role: Project coordination and quality support, ensuring effective delivery against milestones, effective engagement with consultants and partners, and high-quality outputs; and Analytical and technical support, producing policy-relevant analysis, briefings, and learning products related to climate and nature finance. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, environmental or climate policy, climate finance, or a related field, and 3 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Fluency in English and either Spanish or Portuguese.
  • Experience supporting complex projects in an analytical, policy, or programmatic role.
  • Experience researching information from divergent sources and compiling it into a cohesive reporting structure.
  • Experience engaging with legislative, planning, policy or corporate initiatives at two or more of the following levels: international, country, sub-national, or local.
  • Experience working with government agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Support the day today coordination of program activities across workstreams, geographies, and partners, working within the scope of the program’s strategic goals.
  • Track progress against workplans, outputs, and timelines, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external requirements.
  • Coordinate inputs and reviews across internal teams, consultants, and partners to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of agreed outputs.
  • Support internal governance and coordination mechanisms , including steering calls and working group meetings.
  • Support logistical and substantive preparation for high-level meetings with government counterparts, donors, and partners
  • Work independently while engaging the supervisor as needed.
  • Provide analytical and technical support on climate and nature finance topics relevant to the program, including sustainable finance pathways, innovative debt instruments, and fiscal decision-making.
  • Prepare policy-relevant briefings, presentations, and analytical notes to inform program implementation, internal decision-making, and engagement with government counterparts and other partners.
  • Support synthesis of insights across pilot countries in Africa and Latin America, ensuring lessons learned are clearly captured and communicated.
  • Contribute to the integration of climate and nature considerations into fiscal and economic policy discussions, drawing on global best practices and existing evidence.
  • Support the design, coordination, and delivery of South–South learning and peer exchange activities, including convenings in Latin America and Africa.
  • Prepare background materials, agendas, discussion notes, and post-event summaries for learning events and capacity-building activities.
  • Help translate technical analysis into clear, accessible materials for policy audiences, including Ministries of Finance, Economy, and Planning.
  • Contribute to knowledge products and internal learning resources to strengthen organizational capacity on climate and nature finance.
