The Client Support and Training Specialist is a full-time position in the Department of Pediatrics supporting programs that serve individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, their families, and service providers. The primary responsibility is delivering training on evidence-based practices, including behavior analysis, autism interventions, and strategies to address challenging behaviors. This role supports multiple initiatives, including the Online and Applied System for Intervention Skills (OASIS) Training Program, development of train-the-trainer models, a statewide family resource center, and educational efforts focused on preventing Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). Responsibilities include preparing and delivering trainings, participating in clinical demonstrations, coordinating sessions, documenting outcomes, and assisting with grant-related and research activities. Job Description: Job Duties Outlined Facilitate project activities such as in-person or virtual training, hands on skill demonstration, activity coordination, team meetings, and data collection. Assist with data collection, data entry, data management, and other related tasks. Coordinate training schedules across collaborators with supervisor and trainees; assist with standard office responsibilities (e.g. preparing materials, filing). Complete assessments during baseline, post, and follow-up sessions. Attend scheduled trainings and staff meetings. Travel to rural areas of Kansas to provide education and hands on training to caregivers and providers to teach basic evidence-based practices.
